DeVilbiss by Drive Introduces the 555 Compact Oxygen Concentrator

SOMERSET, Pennsylvania—DeVilbiss by Drive announced the launch of the 555 Compact Oxygen Concentrator, a next-generation 5L platform.

The 555 marks the first release in the DeVilbiss by Drive line of respiratory products assembled in the United States of domestic and foreign parts, following the rebranding of Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare to Drive Medical.

Building on the DeVilbiss 525DS 5L concentrator, the 555 adds advancements in efficiency, size and usability. The 555 is 33% more compact than its predecessor and weighs 29.9 pounds—allowing providers to fit 36 units per pallet instead of 27, reducing freight costs and easing the load on delivery teams. Operating at 290 watts, it also delivers a 17% reduction in energy consumption, lowering operating costs for patients while reducing internal heat generation to support longer component life. The next-generation internal design also has 30% fewer component connections, modular architecture, and streamlined component layout for simplified maintenance and less labor time.

The 555 is quiet and offers a compact profile alongside an intuitive digital display showing unit status at a glance. Built-in alarm troubleshooting reduces support calls and minimizes product downtime.
