Deaconess Completes Purchase of 31 Home Health & Hospice Agencies
CINCINNATI, Ohio—Deaconess Associations Incorporated has completed its acquisition of 31 home health and hospice agencies across eight states from HCA Healthcare.
With the transaction now complete, the agencies and their employees join Central Pyramid, one of four owned subsidiaries of Deaconess, a Cincinnati-based health system. The company said the transaction significantly expands Central Pyramid’s home health and hospice services and geographic reach.
“Today marks an important milestone for Deaconess and Central Pyramid as we officially welcome these agencies and their team members to our organization,” said Deaconess CEO Trey Crabb. “Over the past several months, we have had the opportunity to meet many of the people behind these organizations and their commitment to their patients, families, and communities has only strengthened our excitement about what we can accomplish together. This acquisition expands our ability to provide high-quality care in the home while bringing together teams that share a commitment to compassionate service and strong local relationships.”
The addition of the 31 agencies builds on Central Pyramid’s nearly four decades of experience in home health and hospice care.
“We have been looking forward to this day, and having spent time with our new teams, I am even more excited about what we will accomplish together,” said Central Pyramid CEO Cherie Elledge. “What has stood out most is how deeply they care about their patients, their work and their communities. That commitment is at the heart of who we are, and I am proud to welcome them to Central Pyramid.”
