New Survey Collects CPAP Reimbursement Issues

ARLINGTON, Va. — AAHomecare has launched a new survey to
collect information on patient compliance with the revised
continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) policy. All home medical
equipment companies providing CPAP therapy are encouraged to
complete the survey.

The data collection aims to highlight concerns with the policy
in the revised PAP local coverage determination that requires
physician evaluation for continued CPAP therapy beyond three
months.

Information collected from this survey will be used in a letter
to the DME MAC medical directors highlighting the concerns with the
adherence criteria for the PAP policy. The deadline for completing
the survey is Wednesday, Oct. 28.
