ActivStyle Acquires Advocate

ActivStyle, a Riverside Co. portfolio company focused on
incontinence products, has acquired Tampa, Fla.-based Advocate
Medical Services, which provides catheters, incontinence and ostomy
products in Florida and Texas.

According to a release, Advocate’s core product line is
intermittent catheters, and the company primarily serves neurogenic
bladder patients who often suffer from spinal cord injuries or
neural tube defects, and who have a lifelong need for catheters and
related medical supplies. The product line will complement
ActivStyle’s strength in incontinence products while providing
access to new patients and geographies, the release said.

The Advocate transaction is private equity firm Riverside’s 41st
overall health care acquisition.
