Pride Mobility, Quantum Rehab Open Western US Operations Hub in Las Vegas
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Pride Mobility Products Corporation and Quantum Rehab celebrated the grand opening of their expanded 191,000-square-foot Las Vegas facility.
The new facility brings together expanded manufacturing, distribution, service support and customer education capabilities in one location. It is an investment in faster product availability, more responsive service and stronger relationships with providers throughout the West, the companies said.
“We have tremendous customers throughout the Western United States, and we want to serve them as well as if Pride and Quantum were headquartered right here in the West,” said Scott Meuser, chairman and CEO of Pride Mobility Products Corporation. “That’s what this investment is all about. We’re dramatically expanding the products we can ship directly from Las Vegas, strengthening our production and distribution capabilities and planning expanded technical service hours. We also look forward to hosting more customers and clinicians here. Our goal is to deliver faster, more complete and more personal support to our Western customers than ever before.”
The facility is an expansion from Quantum’s original 25,000-square-foot Las Vegas production operation and Pride’s 72,000-square-foot distribution center, which established the company’s presence in the region in 2009.
With more than 3,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) being positioned for direct shipment from Las Vegas, Pride and Quantum expect to improve product availability and delivery times while reducing the need to ship products across the country from Pennsylvania.
The company also plans to expand its Western technical service team, extend service availability, and host customer events, product demonstrations and educational programs for mobility providers and clinicians.
“We see Las Vegas as far more than another distribution center,” Meuser said. “It’s becoming our second major U.S. operating hub, complementing our Pennsylvania headquarters. We’re building the capabilities to serve the Western market with the speed, depth and responsiveness of a locally based company. This is a major step forward for our customers and for Pride and Quantum.”
Quantum’s primary U.S. production facility remains in Duryea, Pennsylvania. Together, the Pennsylvania and Las Vegas operations strengthen the company’s national manufacturing, distribution and customer support capabilities.
