Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders Names Julie Rhodovi CEO
BETHESDA, Maryland—The Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders announced Julie Rhodovi as its next chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2027. Rhodovi brings broad payer and reimbursement experience that positions the Alliance to address the ever-evolving healthcare policy environment. She succeeds Alliance founder and CEO Marcia Nusgart who is retiring in December after 25 years of advocacy leadership.
A long-time Alliance member and current board vice-chair, Rhodovi brings 30+ years of healthcare experience spanning post-acute care, revenue cycle management, payer and government relations, reimbursement, payment models and building Medicare Advantage plans.
The transition comes as the Alliance celebrates its 25th anniversary. Under Nusgart’s leadership, Alliance-led advocacy has overcome numerous policy barriers, strengthened wound care’s voice with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Congress, and advanced a policy environment to support evidence-based clinical practice and innovation.
“I’m honored to lead the Alliance and build on the extraordinary foundation that Marcia Nusgart created,” said Rhodovi. “I’ve seen firsthand the policy change that can be achieved when the diverse voices of wound care come together around issues of common concern and advocate collaboratively through the Alliance. As the healthcare policy environment evolves, the Alliance has a critical role in ensuring wound care is appropriately represented in decisions about coverage, payment, quality measurement and value-based care. I look forward to working with our members to expand our collective impact.”
Rhodovi’s extensive experience includes a tenure at American Medical Technologies, where she built relationships across the payer and policy landscape as SVP of channels & strategic partnerships and revenue cycle management. More recently, as Tissue Health Plus Chief Commercial Officer and Principal at GHH Advisors, she’s focused on value-based care, alternative reimbursement models and quality metrics increasingly central to wound care policy. Co-founder and board member of the Post-Acute Wound and Skin Integrity Council (PAWSIC), Rhodovi has led collaborations connecting clinical expertise with policy and practice challenges to develop evidence-based educational resources to strengthen provider knowledge and improve care. A Certified Wound Care Associate and American Board of Wound Management Trustee, she holds an MBA in health management and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Healthcare.
“Julie brings an exceptionally relevant combination of experience,” said Alliance board chair Kara Couch. “A longtime Alliance member and Board leader, she knows wound care, understands how federal policies affect providers and patients, and is engaged with our members, priorities and collaborative model. She has the experience, relationships and strategic perspective to keep the Alliance steadfast to its advocacy mission while helping us evolve for the future.”
