Modivcare Appoints New Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

DENVER—Modivcare, a provider of non-emergency transportation, personal care services and monitoring solutions, announced the appointment of Matt Williams as chief corporate affairs officer.

Williams joins Modivcare’s executive leadership team with nearly 30 years of experience across healthcare, government affairs, communications and external relations. He most recently served as vice president, United States government affairs at McKesson, where he led the company’s government affairs efforts at the federal and state levels.

“Matt is an accomplished healthcare leader who brings deep experience navigating complex policy environments, building trusted relationships and advancing organizational priorities,” said Leslie Norwalk, chair of the Modivcare board of managers. “His broad background across government affairs, communications and stakeholder engagement will be an important asset as we strengthen Modivcare’s reputation, deepen engagement with key stakeholders and position the company for continued growth.”

Throughout his career, Williams has held senior leadership roles at AbbVie, GE Healthcare and Mercy Health, as well as government affairs roles with Premier, Capitol Associates and the Georgia Hospital Association. His experience spans federal and state healthcare policy, advocacy, external relations and reputation management, with a track record of developing strategies that advance business priorities and strengthen relationships with partners.

At Modivcare, Williams will lead the company’s corporate affairs function, overseeing corporate reputation, corporate communications, marketing communications, federal and state government and regulatory affairs and public policy. He will focus on strengthening the company’s standing and deepening stakeholder engagement while bringing greater alignment to how the company communicates and advocates for its business, members and communities.

Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an MBA from Xavier University. He also completed the Hansard Scholars Programme in British politics and society at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
