Baptist Health Announces Joint Venture with Alternate Solutions to Boost Home Health Services

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky—Baptist Health has announced a joint venture with national home health leader Alternate Solutions Health Network (ASHN) to enhance services across Kentucky, southern Indiana and southern Illinois.

Effective March 3, the joint venture will be owned by Baptist Health and ASHN and will continue operating as Baptist Health Home Care.

“This joint venture will ensure Baptist Health continues to provide the best possible care to its growing number of home health patients while incorporating the operational success from ASHN’s nationwide experience,” said Dr. Isaac J. Myers II, chief health integration officer of Baptist Health and president of Baptist Health Medical Group. “We remain committed to consistency in caregivers, which is essential for building trust, delivering personalized care and providing resources for a growing population, all while achieving high-quality outcomes.”

The companies said the collaboration between Baptist Health and ASHN presents the opportunity to harness the strengths of both organizations’ expertise to expand home health services.

Headquartered in Kettering, Ohio, ASHN offers multidisciplinary post-acute care services and is a valued partner to some of the nation’s foremost healthcare systems.

ASHN partners with more than 90 multi-facility home healthcare and hospice healthcare systems across six states through joint ventures that include area partnerships with Adena Health, The Christ Hospital Health Network, Genesis Healthcare System, Kettering Health and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

In the past year, Baptist Health caregivers provided more than 96,600 home care visits. A wide range of home health services are offered including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, social work and aide services.
