More Than 60 Companies to Showcase Products at Medtrade’s New Product Pavilion

ORLANDO, Fla.—More than 60 new companies/products will be on hand at the New Product Pavilion, located on the show floor at Medtrade. “Those who choose to attend Medtrade this year are choosing to fight for their business,” says Kevin Gaffney. “They are the ones who are serious about surviving, thriving, and serving the massive demand that is out there.”

Sixty-two (with more ready to sign on) small, medium and large companies will be showing their wares at this year’s New Product Pavilion, all with the goal of introducing new ideas and concepts to an audience thirsty for solutions.

“Medtrade presents a powerful opportunity to come together with home care providers and stakeholders to discuss the issues and arrive at solutions that will drive the HME industry and patient care forward,” says Maryellen Bizzack, director, Global Marketing Communications & Brand Management, Philips Respironics. “Medtrade houses the largest selection of HME products under one roof.”

Columbus, Ga.-based Masterbuilt Mfg., Inc., chose Medtrade’s New Product Pavilion to show off its non-slip dinner trays, called Lappers. “I decided there needed to be a tray that could comfortably sit in your lap and keep all your dishes in place,” says Ashley Hatcher, sales manager, Masterbuilt. “Lappers allow people who are not able to eat at a table to enjoy their meal without spilling. People in wheelchairs and on walkers can get their food from the kitchen to the den without assistance.”

Canada-based Promenaid exhibited at Medtrade Spring earlier this year in Las Vegas and they too will join the pavilion to show off their PromenAid handrail system. “Attending Medtrade allows us to introduce PromenAid to customers and build our network,” explains Rob Geller, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Promenaid. “We exhibited at the spring show this year and noticed that there was not a single vendor producing anything similar to the PromenAid handrail system. We are also introducing an industry first—the PromenAid Universal Angle connector.”

New Jersey-based Maddak Inc is a familiar presence at Medtrade, and the venerable company will bring back a relatively new product that made a splash earlier this year at Medtrade Spring. “The Morph™ Foldable Wheelchair Wheels are for active, on-the-go, wheelchair users,” explains Susan Tulanowski, marketing manager, Maddak Inc, Wayne, NJ. “After being disconnected from the wheelchair, they fold to a compact form for easy transport and storage.”

Calling Medtrade an ideal venue to launch FrozenPeaz, Mary Carol Dolivier hopes the line of high performance hot and cold therapy products will resonate with attendees. “The product is specifically engineered for people living with chronic pain, people recovering from orthopedic surgery, and athletes,” says Dolivier, president and co-founder of Chicago-based FrozenPeaz. “Having launched in January of this year, we spent the first few months establishing on online retail presence. Now we are focused on developing a B2B network.”
