NSC Clarifies Surety Bond Question

ARLINGTON, Va. — Does an 855-S form need to be changed
when a Surety Bond is
renewed?

AAHomecare reported last week that according to the National
Supplier Clearinghouse, when a bond is renewed it does not need to
be re-submitted to the NSC. HME providers need only make sure their
bond is current, and no changes are necessary on the NSC form 855,
the association said.

The bonding company will notify the named parties on the bond
(i.e. the NSC) if the bond lapses or is terminated.
