MAMES Names Provider of the Year

OMAHA, Neb. — At the Midwest Association for Medical
Equipment Services’ annual convention, held April 14-16 in Omaha,
Neb., the seven-state association’s 2010 Provider of the Year award
was presented to Connie Lind-Fraher of A-1 Home Healthcare in Fort
Dodge, Iowa.

“Connie was praised for her incredible dedication to customer
care and satisfaction as a small town provider in Iowa. She was
singled out for her willingness to lead the way in legislative
matters through letters, direct telephone contact with legislators
and actively participating in the legislative process by traveling
to Washington, D.C. legislative fly-ins to lobby on behalf of the
industry as a whole,” according to MAMES officials.

Lind-Fraher serves on the MAMES board of directors, the
association’s legislative committee and has served on the Region D
DAC on behalf of MAMES since 2001. A-1 Home Healthcare has been a
family-owned business serving Iowa for 31 years.

Also at the convention, the following board members were
appointed to the MAMES executive committee: President Julie
Weidemann, Palmer Home Medical Supply Services, Iowa; Vice
President Gerald Sloan, Progressive Medical Equipment, Kansas;
Treasurer Jackie Semrad, Reliable Medical Supply, Minnesota; and
Secretary Jerry Culver, Central Nebraska Home Care, Nebraska.
MAMES’ Past President is Tim Pederson of WestMed Rehab in South
Dakota.
