FAHCS, AMEPA Deliver Haiti Supplies

DORAL, Fla. — After joining forces to collect home medical
equipment and supplies for Haitian relief, the Florida Alliance of
Home Care Services and the Accredited Medical Equipment Providers
of America reported last week that providers across the country
responded with more than $450,000 in donated equipment. The
associations — both headquartered in South Florida, home to
the country’s largest Haitian population — worked with Nos
Petits Freres et Soeurs (Our Little Brothers and Sisters), part of
Friends of the Orphans, to distribute the equipment.

“We put out the call the [HME] industry responded,” said Rob
Brant, owner of City Medical Services in Miami and AMEPA president.
“I am so proud of what we have done, and I hope we can continue the
effort.”
