Oxygen Claims Pre-Pay Review

Cigna, the Jurisdiction C DME MAC, said Friday it will be
implementing prepayment edits for oxygen claims as a result of data
that show a high payment error rate. Claims subjected to the edit
will be developed for additional documentation, and HME providers
who get a development letter will be asked to submit documentation
including the CMN, physician’s order, docoumentation of blood gas
or oxygen saturation testing and proof of delivery and/or
additional information. The information must be received within 45
days of the date of the letter or the claim will be denied, the DME
