WATERLOO, IOWA (September 29, 2015)—U.S. Rehab and other industry stakeholders have mounted a campaign to get 100,000 signatures on a petition to reverse CMS’s plans to apply competitive bidding rates to complex rehab accessories.

Visit www.ProtectMyIndependence.com/LearnMore to sign the petition, discover how to share the petition on Facebook and other social media platforms, or contact your senators and members of Congress. The petition is part of the White House’s We the People platform, and the 100,000 signatures indicate the White House will refer an issue to the appropriate government agency.

“Applying competitive bidding rates to the sophisticated equipment that complex rehab experts provide will have a profoundly negative impact on people with disabilities. We need providers, manufacturers, patients and their families, and ordinary citizens who care about health issues to not only sign the petition, but to share it via social media so the general public can help spread the word,” said Greg Packer, president of U.S. Rehab, a division of VGM Group, Inc. “We need those signatures by Oct. 23, and the clock is ticking.”
