LAS VEGAS (Dec. 30, 2013)—The biannual Innovative HME Retail Product Awards honor HME products that are particularly suited for retail sale. The purpose of the competition is to promote and recognize products that contribute to providers' bottom lines though cash sales.

Entries will be judged on their contribution to the quality of life enhancement they will provide to the users and how well they would work in a retail environment. Products will be judged on marketing support provided to suppliers; innovation; functionality; quality/durability; aesthetics/style; environmental sustainability; ease of retail set-up and pricing.
Five products will be chosen as winners.

  1. Winners will be featured in retail products roundtable conference session, The Best New HME Retail/Cash Opportunities, moderated by Jim Greatorex, President of Black Bear Medical, at Medtrade Spring on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Winners will be allotted 5-6 minutes to discuss their product with the audience.
  2. Winning products will be featured in the New Product Pavilion on the expo floor.
  3. Products will be featured in pre and post-show issues of the Medtrade Monday e-newsletter.
  4. Company logo will be featured on the Medtrade Spring website.
  5. Medtrade PR director will assist in developing appropriate press releases.
