ST. LOUIS, Mo. (June 19, 2014)—Prism Medical USA, Inc. hosted the first Prism Patriot Invitational on Thursday, May 29 at the Log Cabin Club in St. Louis, raising more than $80,000 for veterans and families of soldiers injured or lost during the ongoing Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).

Charley Wallace, president and chief executive officer of Prism Medical USA, said the invitational will be an annual event. Their goals with the invitational are not only to help vets and their families through support programs but also to identify employment opportunities for them with Prism Medical or other vet-friendly companies. One such company, Veteran Distribution Company, was co-founded by St. Louis native and Army veteran Charlie Felker.

The 2014 Prism Patriot Invitational benefited two of this country’s leading groups currently serving veterans and military families, U.S.VETS, Inc. and the Patriot Foundation. With a facility in St. Louis located at 8410 Engler Park Court, U.S.VETS is the largest provider of programs and housing for homeless and at-risk veterans in the country. The Patriot Foundation serves the families of Fort Bragg, N.C., soldiers killed or injured in the GWOT. Visit prismmedicalltd.com.
