The current CEO and founder will step into the role of president.

Somerville, Mass. (April 20, 2017)—Nizhoni Health, a provider of home health care, announced that David Rubinstein has been named CEO. Joseph McDonough, the company’s founder and current CEO, will assume the role of president. Rubinstein brings more than 30 years of executive operations experience and a strong track record in advancing the growth of organizations. Nizhoni Health offers an alternative to hospitalization for clients with the most acute care needs—including those suffering from chronic illness, psychiatric or cognitive issues, as well as those requiring a lengthy recovery period.

As CEO, Rubinstein will work closely with McDonough to build and reinforce Nizhoni Health’s corporate culture, tighten existing operational processes and work with the company’s newly formed executive leadership team to continue to set a high standard of care in home health. Rubinstein’s background as a chief executive, combined with his understanding of the importance of customer-driven strategies, will enable Nizhoni Health to develop more innovative strategies to provide cost effective care to the state’s most challenging population.

“David is a seasoned leader who has successfully built high quality organizations and will work with us to ensure we balance our health delivery strategy with our mission of providing the highest quality care to our patients,” said Joseph McDonough, President and Founder of Nizhoni Health. “This is an important step for Nizhoni Health and we’re thrilled to have someone with David’s track record on board to lead the way as we expand our network and capabilities to better serve the needs of our patients while staying true to our core values.”

As a chief executive, Rubinstein understands the operational side of business and ways to lead top-performing teams. More importantly, he believes in the care that Nizhoni Health provides, and he is enthusiastic about applying the experience he has gained in past senior leadership positions to help the organization provide a better, more refined set of services to patients and families across the state.

“Nizhoni Health has been a leader in the home health care industry in Massachusetts for more than a decade. The staff are changing lives every day by providing their clients with the support and care necessary to maintain safe and independent lifestyles in their own communities,” said David Rubinstein. “I’m excited to take on the role of CEO and to work with our leadership team to ensure that Nizhoni Health and its patients continue to thrive. I look forward to continuing the organization’s forward momentum.

In addition to his new role at Nizhoni Health, Rubinstein is a long-time board member at Neighborhood Pay Services, which provides “direct from payroll” processing services for apartment owners and renters, providing consumers with access to higher quality housing and the ability to build or rebuild credit, while reducing vacancy rates and credit risk for landlords. Rubinstein earned his Bachelors of Science in Management with Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he served as student body president. He currently resides in Newton, Mass.
