WASHINGTON (August 13, 2014)—AAHomecare is pleased to announce that Mina Uehara has joined the team this week as regulatory affairs associate.

Uehara recently received her Master of Public Policy degree from American University, where her graduate research work focused on Medicaid. She has extensive legislative and political experience, including work on health care-related issues, gained in engagements with the Service Employees International Union, the House Energy & Commerce Committee, the House Democratic Caucus and Democracy for America.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Uehara received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Uehara will work closely with Kim Brummett, vice president of regulatory affairs, on the Association’s regulatory initiatives.
