LAS VEGAS (February 1, 2016)—The first release of CareTend made waves at last year’s Medtrade Spring, and software designers at the Lenexa, Kansas-based Mediware Information Systems have added several new HME and Infusion features for this year’s show, scheduled for February 29–March 2 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

According to Paul O’Toole, vice president and general manager, Mediware Home Care Solutions Division, Medtrade Spring attendees will get the first look at Mediware’s latest business intelligence suite, CareTend BI. “CareTend BI is a complete analysis package that includes detailed analytic cubes, real-time exception reporting, and dashboards that trend metrics and track key performance indicators,” says O’Toole. “Customers will be able to eliminate manual processes of pulling reports themselves and instead automate reporting to improve workflow and efficiency.”

With Real-time workflow management in CareTend, O’Toole maintains that providers (within a single dashboard tool), “can monitor the performance of their business in real-time, so they can easily track orders and identify bottlenecks before they become a problem.”

Attendees who visit Mediware’s Booth #544 will:

  • understand how Mediware’s A/R management features can help lower DSO;
  • learn how CareTend ensures compliance for Medicare CPAP/BiPAP requirements;
  • see complete document management functionality;
  • analyze how automated workflow processing can reduce human error and expedite order fulfillment; and
  • see how CareTend BI business intelligence gives users the freedom to report, monitor, and analyze their business in real-time.
