(Dec. 9, 2014)—The iPush Foundation announced the 1st Wheeling for the Holidays Contest, made possible by At Home Medical and community partner Eagle Sportschairs.
From December 9-23, 2014, visitors to the foundation's Facebook and Twitter profiles and to the main website can submit their stories with the theme “What Do You Push For?” The winner will be chosen from the contest submissions to receive a brand new, custom-fitted everyday Eagle Tornado wheelchair built by Eagle Sportschairs and donated by At Home Medical.
In June 2014, the iPush Foundation began as an effort to improve online resources for people who use wheelchairs. Created by Chris Malcom, a C7 quadriplegic, the iPush Foundation serves as a lifestyle resource and source of encouragement for anyone who uses a wheelchair.
“As a quadriplegic, I have strong desire to give back to the wheelchair community. That’s why we started the iPush Foundation. In the spirit of giving, it seemed like the perfect time of year to start what we hope becomes an annual contest to help people in need with a brand new wheelchair,” said Malcom.
The grand prize winner will be announced on Dec. 24, 2014 via the iPush Foundation’s website and social media pages. This event is free and open to anyone within the continental U.S. who uses a wheelchair.
*Due to shipping and delivery costs, iPush must limit the geographic area of the contest. No cash value will be awarded in lieu of the grand prize.
