KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Dec. 8, 2014)—Brownmed announced the acquisition of
NüRoo Inc. and its entire line of products, which help foster the bond between mother and baby.

"The acquisition of NüRoo reflects Brownmed's continued commitment to innovative, patient-focused medical devices," said Ivan Brown, president and CEO of Brownmed Inc. "By adding NüRoo to our family of brands, we expand our traditional product mix from those focused on allowing patients to more effectively recover from injury or ailment to include products around nurturing health from the beginning of life."

Founded in 2012, NüRoo has three products that are currently in high demanded by consumers, including the NüRoo Pocket - the only babywearing shirt that offers full coverage and mobility for moms practicing skin-to-skin contact with their newborns, that doubles as a hands free newborn carrier. Like Brownmed, NüRoo has introduced products supported by scientific evidence and were developed with a focus on the patient.

As part of the acquisition, NüRoo co-founders Hope Parish and Daniela Jensen will join Brownmed and continue to share their enthusiasm for mothers and their babies from Brownmed’s Boston office.
